Find the fraction, read across: 3/4 is 75%, 3/8 is 37.5%. Percent is the same number written in hundredths, so the decimal column is the bridge between them.
What are the most common fraction–percent pairs?
The ones worth memorizing: 1/2 = 50%, 1/4 = 25%, 3/4 = 75%, 1/5 = 20%, 1/8 = 12.5%, and 1/3 ≈ 33.33% — that last one repeating, never exact in digits.
Where this comes from.
Exact rational arithmetic on the values shown — fractions are pairs of integers until
display, and inch–metric conversion uses 25.4 mm to the inch, exact by definition since 1959.
