They are computed, not written. Every answer comes from the same exact rational engine the rest of this site runs on, and the test suite re-solves every question on a generated sheet and compares. An answer key from here cannot disagree with its own questions.

How do I print the sheet without the answers?

Use the “Print worksheet” button — the answer key is left off the page. “Print answer key” prints the key on its own, with each question restated so it can be marked from.

Can I get the same sheet again later?

Yes. Every sheet has a seed, and the seed is in the page address. Bookmark or share the link and it will always rebuild the identical questions, in the identical order — so you can hand out a sheet today and reprint it next term.

What is the difference between the difficulty levels?

Easy uses denominators up to 10 and keeps adding and subtracting on like denominators. Medium goes to twelfths and mixes denominators, so a common denominator has to be found. Hard adds elevenths, twelfths and sixteenths and larger whole parts.
